Three Ridges Golf Course
In conjunction with the Tennessee Golf Foundation and the Knoxville Chapter of the TPGA, the Tri-Star provides Tennessee's junior golfers a competitive golf experience unrivaled by any other tournament in the state. The event is a three-day junior golf event positioned around three true championships: Pro-Junior Championship, Match Play Championship and a 36-hole Stroke Play Championship.
NEW FOR 2020: The Tri-Star is a Level 3 TGA Junior Player of the Year point event.

Professionals - $90. Price includes: one round of golf, lunch on Friday, range balls, tee gift, entry into low pro game.

Friday, July 3rd - Pro-Junior Championship
One PGA professional and three juniors (ages 10-18) comprise a pro-junior team. The event is a double best-ball format - everyone plays their own ball and the best two scores for each hole are counted for the team score. A pro can be on multiple pro-junior teams and can invite as many juniors as he/she would like.
Low-Pro: The Pro-Junior Championship will also serve as an 18 hole low-pro event. There will be three sets of professional tees: Regular Professional, Senior Professional and Women's Professional. The official purse breakdown will be finalized once registration closes and the field has been set. A professional must hole out on every hole to be eligible for the purse.
Saturday and Sunday, July 4th-5th - Tennessee's Junior Match Play Championship
Friday's Pro-Junior tournament will serve as the seeding round for the Junior Match Play Championship. There are two Junior Match Play Championship divisions: Boys and Girls. In order for a junior to be eligible for match play, he or she must play the furthest set of tees established by the committee for their division and must hole out on all 18 holes during the Pro-Junior Championship. The top 16 boys and top eight (8) girls from Friday's round will qualify for match play.
Individual Junior Registration: Any junior golfer between the ages of 14-18 who would like to participate in the Tri-Star but does not have a pro to compete with in the pro-junior competition, but wishes to still try to qualify for the junior match play championship, may register as an individual. All individuals will play an 18 hole qualifying round on Friday, July 3rd. The top 16 scores (including juniors participating in the pro-junior) from Friday's round advance to match play. Juniors who finish outside the top 16 will still qualify for the 36 hole stroke play championship on Saturday and Sunday. Any junior under the age of 14 who wishes to play as an individual but not attempt to qualify for the Match Play Championship, will only play on Saturday and Sunday in the Stroke Play Tournament.
Boys Match Play Schedule:
Saturday, July 4th - Round of 16 and Round of 8
Sunday, July 5th - Semifinals and finals
Girls Match Play Schedule:
Saturday, July 4th - Round of 8 and Semifinals

The Boys 13&U Divison and Girls divisions play nine (9) holes on Saturday and Sunday from the forward tees, and may have caddies. The Boys 13-15 and the Boys 16-18 play 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday - caddies are not permitted for these age groups.
