The top eight (8) regular amateurs and the top four (4) senior amateurs will qualify for the amateur team. The top eight (8) regular professionals and the top four (4) senior professionals will qualify for the professional team. The alternate order will be based on the final standings.
HOW TO QUALIFY
Amateurs: All events on the Knoxville Amateur Tour are Knoxville Cup point events. In addition, all TGA individual championships serve as point tournaments.

Professionals: All Tennessee Sports Medicine Group Pro-Am tournaments are Knoxville Cup point events. In addition, TPGA player of the year points will be added to each player's Pro-Am tally to calculate their final Knoxville Cup points.
Top 20 (Championship Flights) in Level 1 Tournaments receive the following points:
50, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13 ,12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5
Top 20 (Championship Flights) in Level 2 Tournaments receive the above point totals multiplied by two.
Top 20 (Championship Flights) in Level 3 Tournaments receive the above point totals multiplied by three.
*If field has fewer than 40 participants only the top half of the field will be awarded points
Note: Seniors can earn points in either the Regular Championship Flight or the Senior Championship Flight.
The Knoxville Cup is a Ryder Cup style golf tournament that pits the top amateur golfers from the area against the top Tennessee PGA Section Professionals from the Knoxville Chapter. The event is a one day tournament consisting of morning four-ball and afternoon foursomes matches.
Amateurs defeated Professionals 8 to 4 to retain the Knoxville Cup.
